I just heard what is my latest favorite movie quote. It’s from the 2010 version of True Grit.
As Mattie and Federal Marshal LeBoeuf discuss the difference between two Latin legal terms, a prostrate, drinking Rooster Cogburn states:
I’m struck, as LeBoeuf has been shot, trampled, and nearly severed his tongue; not only does he not cease to talk but he spills the banks of English.

After the movie, I had to read the Charles Portis book it was based on. As I recall, it was filled with wonderful dialog like the quote you mentioned. I was also interested in the book because I read that the Coen brothers were much more faithful to the book than the John Wayne version.
